    Domains for Sale

I have a few domains for sale that I don’t see myself using in the near future. Contact me if you’re interested.

donteat.me – It was going to be a vegetarian/vegan blog featuring side-by-side pictures of cute animals and the food they produce. Example: lamb next to lamb chops. Each article would focus on convincing the reader to stop eating the featured animal.

mychromoso.me – Tracking your genetic information.

carbonneutralize.me – Put up your own carbon calculator / offset service.

I’ve got to admit those are catchy names. They actually sound interesting. Too bad you didn’t have time to get around to them.

Well, no one is buying them from me; so, maybe one day I’ll get around to them. I still have about 20 others that I’ve got plans for.

Dude, why did you even think about starting a vegetarian/vegan blog? I’ve seen the amount of meats you devoured at the BBQ place. You’re not turning a vegetarian anytime soon.

I was under the influence of a vegan at the time I registered that domain name!

    New MacBook Pro 13

    P1010166

My new MacBook Pro 13″ arrived today! Woohoo! Unfortunately, the psychologist in me has assigned the joy of opening the new package to be the reward for finishing everything on today’s TODO list.

    Update: Opened it. Woohoo!.

So how does it compare with your previous one? I’m looking forward to your review of it.

    WWDC 2009

    wwdc09_badge

    Check out the WWDC stream.

Here are some highlights + my immediate thoughts.

    • Snow Leopard and its major new tech features: 64-bit-ness (speed), Grand Central (speed), OpenCL (speed), and Exchange support. Why is Exchange cool? Google’s services speak Exchange; so, it’ll be possible to have a fully integrated Exchange solution without any Microsoft products! Bad news for MS unless they’re licensing out the Exchange protocols, which I suspect they are.
    • Macbook Pro 13″ (Uni 13) – the Alu 12″ lives on! I’ve just purchased the 2.26 ghz base configuration to replace my first gen Alu 15. I opted to use the student discount instead of the developer discount, providing me with a free iPod touch, which is worth ~$230, way more than the additional discount from the ADC program. I have my upgrades planned as well. A ~$60 2x2GB pair is already the mail from Crucial, and later this summer, I’ll consider getting either the Corsair 256GB SSD or 128, depending on how much prices fall on the superior Samsung-controlled parts and how much I can tease out of eBay for the free iPod.
    • iPhone 3GS – the camera is finally decent!

I’ve been hearing that the iPhone 3GS is more of an evolution and not a revolution. Can’t stay until I try it out, though.

    The 4-Hour Work Week

    4hww

I’ve read The 4-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss twice now. The second time I read it, I was able to suspend my disbelief more effectively. Every step required to achieve financial success without losing your life to your job is laid out in absolute detail. He leaves no excuses for you to not put yourself on the path to becoming a millionaire vagabond in 6 months or less.

Be sure to check out the accompanying blog and website for even more life tips and inspiration.

One of my favorite parts of the blog are the interviews. Here are some of the cooler ones:

Tim Ferriss and Kevin Rose Discuss Their Top 5 Must-Read Books

Kevin Rose and Tim Ferriss Discuss Angel Investing and Naming Companies – Tim’s approach for naming his book was a great demonstration of market testing.
