Thinking about PC’s…
Things to look for in my next laptop:
* Intel SSD
* full size keyboard
* Nvidia integrated graphics
* Decently high-res LED-lit screen
* Good antenna placement
* Nehalem generation mobile CPU
* Under $1000
ETA: Mid 2009.
(But, if my laptop broke today, I would get a Lenovo X200s, assuming there’s some discount code out there.)
So not a mac huh? Good choice.
BTW – Intel SSDs are the awesome with regards to random access latency.

um… definitely a mac. MAC BOOK PRO.
I am disappointed by the new Mac Book Pros. The design is experiencing convergent evolution with mainstream PC’s, yet the new Macs’ features are not competitive at their current price point. Also, considering that WIndows 7 is rumored to not suck like Vista (probably due to excellent PR), I think things will be looking up for PCs in the near future.
Actually, I’m thinking about getting a MacBook Pro 17″ now. I bought a student developer license for $99 which gives me a roughly 20% discount on my next mac. Curse you Apple Marketing!
