MobileCampLA + WOM World

Storm Worm has Intelligence?
Heise’s prediction has come true; the worm now attacks those who publish new information on the inner workings of the worm. Researchers are allegedly “running scared” from the worm, which seemingly has a sentient ability to detect and attack whoever threatens it.

Quicksilver Update!
Strange. Quicksilver started updating itself just now.
Hmm, it turns out they just wanted my usage data. I sent it in. I enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling associated with helping out an awesome free product. I like to think I’m improving the definitive magic Mac app, even if only vicariously through my usage history.
Microsoft and Facebook Hook Up
Microsoft just invested $240 million in Facebook for rights to be the sole advertiser on the social networking site. Microsoft’s 1.6 percent stake would put Facebook’s valuation at $15 billion, ignoring Microsoft’s expected profits from advertising, which I am sure must have been really high, or such a huge investment would not have been approved.
