10/31, left side fell off.
11/4, eye exam + new glasses ordered. (eyesight actually improved!)

Google, Please don’t screw this up!
Google’s purchase of DoubleClick is intended to boost its revenue through ads that include pictures and video.
The last thing I want to see from the company that brought us the unobtrusive text advertisement is video and banner ads.
Update Idea: Convert all of Doubleclick’s image and video ads into unobtrusive text ads.
Game of the Year
I played Super Smash Brothers, and it was good. I played Super Smash Brothers Melee, and it was awesome.
This coming spring break, I will play Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and it will defy my ability to express it’s euphoria-extolling virtues with mere superlatives.
Giant Clump of Money
The other day I was buying groceries at Morton William’s — right across the street from Columbia — and the man in front of me dropped an enormous pile of cash as he was leaving the checkout lane.
I picked it up.
“Sir, I believe you dropped this.”
Industrial Light and Magic
ILM came to campus today to recruit for their research and development teams.
They presented an overview of the behind the scenes work that went into the Transformers movie. The combined work of the company was very impressive, but the narrow scope of the individual job descriptions was quite worrying.
Position Available: Virtual City Substrate Effects Engineer. Only the world’s best sidewalk crack designer need apply.
On the other hand, the artist/designer jobs seemed pretty cool. If only I had a 3D portfolio…
Afterwards, we enjoyed free lunch at an upscale Manhattan restaurant. I ordered my favorite fish. Mmmm.
